We are pleased to announce that Alyson Waters, Senior Lecturer in the Department of French, Managing Editor of Yale French Studies, and member of the Yale Translation Initiative Steering Committee, has been selected as a Finalist this year for the French-American Foundation Translation Prize, for her translation of Jean Giono’s A King Alone, published by New York Review Books. The Translation Prize honors exceptional English translations of French works of fiction and nonfiction that were published in the previous calendar year.
